hmmm

....where's the bass? Also, when the strings come in around 00:30, you can hear the drums and piano take a steep decrease in gain, sucking life out of the mix. Basically, just gotta start mixing, mastering, and adding a few important elements to make this loop better. I like the dual melody thing you got going on there though.

Even though for a lot of the song the sound was peaking out, it was still a really solid beat. But, I think that if you fixed the EQ on this, it would sound way better. Don't get me wrong, it is still a great beat : )

I used to have to make these with a tiiiiiiiny speaker with no bass so I had to pump up the bass to hear it lol. Oh well. :)

Freekin' Sweet

This is so cool man! I was wondering the whole time how this was going to sound, and I am impressed!

Originality-8: Even though you used the same melodies (pretty much what a remix is), you managed to make it sound totally unique and different from mine, adding your own styles and ideas.

Diversity-10: Unlike mine, this isn't repetitive at all. There is so much variation with the beat and melodies, while making it also have a progressive feel to it.

Clarity-10: All synths, effects, and rythms used blended almost perfectley.

Effort-8: I can tell you put lots of hard work into this. Even though you didn't change the melodies at all (which doesn't matter), all of the other elements of the song were done very well.

Criticism: Only a few things were a little strange to me. On the third beat of the main melody, you added a little slide tool to each of those notes. Even though I think it sounded cool, I think you should of used it sparingly since it got kind of annoying after a while. Also, even though the snare drum you used sounded great, I don't think it fit in perfectley with the style. I think if you used a different clap or more electronic sounding snare drum, it might of fit in more

Overall, this song is FREEKIN' SWEET! And I am very suprised in how it turned out. No wonder it took you so long!

Haha, I understand how the slide could get annoying. When I first tried it, I was a bit skeptical... but then I fell in love with it, I suppose. :) I just like that cool little sound it makes.
Personally, I like the snare. I think it gives it a more "in your face" feeling and a bit more diversity. Everyone has their own opinion though, and I can see where you're coming from.

Glad you like it! That was the most important thing in my mind while I made this. If the original artist doesn't like it, the remix is a bit pointless. :P
Yeah, sorry it took so long... Lots of little picky stuff that I could never quite settle on. I could find stuff to change even now, if I wanted to lol. But I forced myself to stop and, voila! Here it is. :D

I'm not quite sure why this song is reviewed so highly. The beat is repeated too much, the synths are kind of obnoxious, and I really don't think it would sound much better with vocals.

You could of a added a melody line to add more to the song. The intro is good, but once it got to the main chorus line, it always seemed to be missing something.

This song was totally strange, but I liked it a lot at the same time. I really liked how you combined a guitar with a piano and strings, making a unique melody. Really nice, but I also think the guitar could of been a little less quiet, and wouldn't make as retarted of sounds at some points, but I think that's what you were going for. Nice job : )

I think the glitchiness might depend partially on the headphones used while listening. I would recommend listening with speakers.
